A New Twist on a Classic: Fresh Converse High-Tops & Low-Tops

Classic never goes out of style, and that’s the case with these two twists on an old look for men’s and women’s Converse shoes for summer 2010. Converse shoes have been a must-have in closets for around 100 years, and while they’ve kept their look simple and traditional they’re constantly updating the brand with new designs and artwork that attracts new customers and keeps Converse collectors coming back.

Brophy Converse High-Top Shoes

Renowned artist Drew Brophy has teamed up with Converse to bring his signature beach designs to Converse high-tops, launching the Brophy Summer 2010 Chuck Taylor collection. Brophy is well-known for his custom artwork on surfboards, skateboards and wakeboards. These Converse high-tops evoke images of chasing the waves on Southern California beaches, featuring surf images, sunshine and water motifs splashed on blank white canvas.

Jack Purcell Converse Shoes

A reincarnation of their earlier and wildly popular successor the Marine Sea Crisp Boat Shoe, the nautical Jack Purcell Converse shoes merge the modern with the traditional. Available in three seafaring colours: navy, white and multicolour, all have canvas tops and rubber outsoles. So, whether you’re lounging on a yacht deck or meeting friends on a restaurant patio, Jack Purcell Converse shoes will complete your summer look.

Besides the new Converse high-top shoes mentioned, their fresh summer 2010 collection includes a rainbow of pastels in colours like jellybean pink, robins-egg blue and sunshine yellow. Find them here.
